Andris Eimanis has a degree in Structural Engineering (BE Hons) and a Masters Degree (M.Eng.Sc) in Offshore Structures. As a Project Manager, he has 25+ years of worldwide project experience gained in the Oil and Gas industry, with projects in Australia, SE Asia (Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea), China, West Africa (Nigeria, Angola) and North America (USA, Canada).
He has worked directly with multi-national Oil and Gas operating companies (Chevron, Shell (Brunei), construction and installation contractors (Samsung Heavy Industries, J Ray McDermott) and engineering design firm (WorleyParsons). His expertise extends to the project management of complex offshore processing facility, subsea and pipeline developments and covers leading contract and commercial management, engineering design, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning teams.
Andris Eimanis is an Australian Latvian, who grew up in the Melbourne Latvian community (Australia). He studied at the local Latvian primary and high schools and was involved with folk dancing, choir singing, and other Latvian associations. He is a current member of the Latvian student fraternity ‘’Lettgallia’’ and is a past Victorian president of Latvian Youth Association of Australia (LJAA).
Over the years, to visit his family and friends, Andris has completed numerous trips to Latvia and in 1993 briefly worked in Riga with the building firm “Velve”.
After being away from Melbourne for nearly two decades, Andris along with his family (wife Ingrida and their two sons), have now recently returned to the city and are now once again involved in the local Latvian community. He sings in two Latvian community choirs “Daina’’ and ‘’Veseris’’, (who will both participate in Latvia’s upcoming song festival). Andris also currently co-leads (with his wife Ingrida), the Melbourne Latvian High School.
